Have you tried switching to a basic theme ?

I also wonder if this is a little bit like wifi drivers. The same physical unit can display different signal strengths with a simple driver update. I suspect it is just the way the strength is reported that has changed.

There is of course the other possibility, you know, Win7 is just better than linux !!! Smile
