So, all of a sudden i'm not getting an output file from hashcat. 

There's nothing in the root folder, it doesn't output to a selected folder and a PC wide search turns up nada.

Where should I start troubleshooting?

are you using the -o parameter? Otherwise, all hashes retrieved will be written to the potfile.

Sure am! Even double checked with the -I command and verified the path.

-- That's weird, I just used the --show command and it wrote an output file in the path specified.
