Can someone give me a hand? I use hashcat on windows 11, with my GPU it runs perfectly, my problem is with my cpu. Initially hashcat did not detect it, after installing OpenCL Runtime 16.1.2 for Intel Core and Intel Xeon Processors for Windows from the following page. Hashcat detected it but got the following error and stopped.

Does anyone know what is causing this error and how to resolve it?

it seems that hashcat uses the old opencl 1.2 drivers usually shipped by AMD for your intel cpu, as "normally" the 16.1.2 intel opencl drivers you mentioned should show up as version opencl 2.1 like this (i got similar error messages and version opencl 1.2 when trying to use an AMD CPU with hashcat)

can you please show the complete output of hashcat -I as it could be you have to use a more specific option than only -D1 (in conjunction with an -d*, depending on your setup, when i want to stick to intel cpu only i have to use -D1 -d1 for example)

If is use:

I guess I need to update OpenCL on my CPU. But how do I do it? I only find the opencl_runtime_16.1.2, it's the one i use.

Does anyone know what is causing this error and how to resolve it?

EDIT : It works with the latest runtime open CL package found on this link : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...pport.html

I understand this is a bump, but I was fighting this issue all morning and reinstalling OpenCL from that link didn't fix it. I had to add -D 2 to my command and the problem was solved. Figured anyone else that was running into this crash dump might use this info later.
