hashcat launches and quits...

hi,

i have hashcat 0.42 running on 32 bit vista. when i launch the app a black terminal flashes momentarily and then quits.

i feel like this should have been in the faq section but i could not find it.

please advise.

run it from the command line, don't double click on it.
