SHA1 and rules file
#1
so according to
http://hashcat.net/forum/thread-294.html

SHA1 support for oclhashcat+ is forthcoming.

and from what i have read, oclhashcat doesn't support a rules file.

so i cant use a rules file, with a gpu, and sha1? is that correct?

but if i wanted, i could take a dictionary and generate a dictionary with the rules applied to it, using hashcat?
^^ edit: bad idea. ran it for about 30 seconds and got a 400mb file. it took 4 minutes to run through the example.dict and apply ~23k rules. i dont think a projected 3.2gb file is a good solution.Undecided

OCLhashcat don't support rule file but support single rules so you can run a .bat file with all the rules, one by one.
