Will my laptop support Hashcat?
#1
I seem to be having an issue with getting Hashcat to run an attack on the hccap file I have from a WPA2 capture.

****************************************************************************
# hashcat -m 2500 -a 3 example.hccap ?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a
hashcat (v3.10) starting...

OpenCL Platform #1: Mesa

In researching my i7-640m processor I see the following note "The CPU is compatible with Shader Model 4, along with DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 2.1 APIs. OpenCL API is not supported."

Does this mean I'm unable to use CPU cracking with Hashcat?

As far as GPU goes, I have the following

*****************************************************************************
# lspci -nn | grep VGA01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation GT218M [NVS 3100M] [10de:0a6c] (rev a2)

I'm kind of stuck on how to move forward at this point. Help!

Thanks!
