Hello, i will build new pc. is Ryzen 5 3600X cpu good choice for hashcat ?
in my office pc i have Ryzen 5 3600X but i can not run Hashcat on it.
Is an extra parameter required to work with this cpu ?

New member, but I thought the purpose of hashcat was to utilize GPU.. isn't that more important than CPU? Not trying to troll. Genuinely curious if there is something I am missing.
To clarify, without knowing what you are typing, I would gather that there is something on your work pc that is preventing you from running hashcat, and that it has nothing to do with your CPU.

Modern PSA are designed to be slow on GPUs, for example by requiring massive amounts of RAM for each thread involved. 200 MB of RAM on a 16-core CPU is cheap, but 200 MB of RAM with a 2000 shader GPU would require almost 400GB of VRAM. Anyway, lets stay on topic.

"can not run hashcat" is not a suitable problem description. Do you have the Intel OpenCL CPU runtime installed and is your CPU detected by hashcat?

No CPU not detected by hashcat. There is error message like "No devices found/left."
Which OpenCL i need install for Ryzen 5 3600x ?
