install the correct driver for your hardware, see https://hashcat.net/hashcat
driver from nvidia.com for your NVidia GPU driver from the ROCm page for your AMD GPU on linux driver from the amd.com page for AMD GPU on windows OpenCL Runtime for Intel CPU from the intel webpage for all makes of CPUs (also AMD, not only Intel) you always should explain the details about your system (model/make, CPU/GPU specs) ... otherwise we can't really give good answers (only general answers)

Hum this a really bad idea to use hashcat on VBox, as you cannot access to your GPUs.
Use directly hashcat windows binary if you are on Windows, you don't need to install linux. |
