GPU #2 shuts down. Temperature control?

I've just noticed that my second card seems to be going down during a crack.  Temperature is only around 60c on this card.  But when I start another crack it will start working for awhile anyway... is this normal?  Possible hardware issue?

No, but maybe not enough workload. You should get a warning like this:

ATTENTION!
The wordlist or mask you are using is too small.
Therefore, hashcat is unable to utilize the full parallelization power of your device(s).
The cracking speed will drop.
