Odd Formatting Using Tables

I am getting a strange result when testing “tables”. Please bear in mind this could be my fault !!

This is an unlikely “table file” I must admit but should the following be happening ?

Password list contains…

pass
12345
HELLO
Ab12

Table contains…

A=4
L=1

When I write this out to a file I get the following…

I was expecting...


pass
12345
HE11O
4b12

Should these gaps be being produced ? I can see that the table has worked though.
