Hashcat slows down after staring attack.

I would avoid splitting it into 779 files. Instead, open up the .cap in Wireshark and filter out one single handshake with a beacon for that network. Be sure the handshake is all part of one single exchange. Then go ahead and convert to HCCAPX. Sometimes, for whatever reason, Hashcat sees it as 2 networks after cleaning but it doesn't result in a performance drop and runs at full speed. WPAclean is awful. The tools that philsmd recommended fromĀ https://github.com/ZerBea/hcxtools are a much better and safer alternative.
