Sure is.
But it appears to be different from all the other ones.

Does it matter?

it doesn't really matter. the only thing that is different between each 7970 is the cooling solution. get the cooling solution that appears most appropriate for your setup.

you may also consider getting a factory overclocked edition, as they typically choose the chips that came out of the manufacturing process better than the others to overclock. so in theory they are better.

Hey epixoip, I've been going through hell lately with my 8 x 7970 setup trying to keep it cool. While doing some research I came across your 8 x 7970 setup:

If you don't mind me asking, I'd love to know:
* The make/model of those cards
* Are they water cooled or otherwise modified? (I can't find a similar looking card online so far)
* What is the ambient room temp and what temperature do they reach once they've been at full bore for a while?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

They are VisionTek 900557, but I would not recommend them. They are hard to keep cool due to poor quality control. The temps are way over the place, and some cards get much hotter than others. I need to take them all apart and re-apply thermal paste on all of them, and try some different cooling solutions.

I would recommend HIS H797QM3G2M, as that is what d3ad0ne has in his 8x 7970 rig, and he has had far less problems than me.

I think GIGABYTE GV-R797TO-3GD might be worth looking at as well. I don't know anyone who has one, but I feel like that's the one I should have gotten.
