Hello -

Is it possible to crack cram-md5 passwords as used in IMAP and SMTP-AUTH:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CRAM-MD5

I've searched quite a bit and reviewed the hashcat lists of supported formats but don't see this listed. I'm asking because it would seem to be a common format so perhaps it's supported in a way that I am not understanding.

You can always write a ticket on hashcat trac (top menu) and see what the devs say.
If it's really common, I see no reason why it shouldn't be implemented.
