I find this post
Quote:http://hashcat.net/forum/thread-978.html...ht=mscash2
DCC - Microsoft Windows 7
User Name:worte.asxedseo
Hash :7x8ab1c&9d%78xe=479#031d9b»26a0*
In the file "HashM.txt" wrote thus:
=08a&1c?9d*789Xe4#9b0$1d9«12%a07: gorue.bscynpgo
My real username is: gorue.bscynpgo
Why I write my username with a point the program gives me an error message?
Where can I find a webpage (or file) with generator mscash2?
If the attack takes a long time how do I start at the same point?
I'm sorry, I have mask the hash.
I apologize for my english, google translator.
Best regards

1. you are not allowed to post hashes here (see
http://hashcat.net/forum/announcement-2.html ), why can't you just say what the problem is (or at least mask the hash) ?
2. The error probably says line-length exception, since the salt is too long (salt == username for this hash mode), this has nothing todo with what your real username is (or.... yes, maybe how long it is) , nor with a dot... please make some test if this is true
Furthermore, the hashes can be generated easily with any programming/scripting language + google finds dozens of webpages that either show you the algo or generate hashes for you.

I tried with a shorter name (pulled a letter) and no longer gave error.
I tried cain & abel (
http://www.oxid.it/cain.html) and the program shows me 3 items:
1 - Domain
2 - User Name (14 characters)
3 - MS-Cache Hash
4 - Type -> MS-Cachev2
After this, I'm a bit confused.
I have a DCC file:
--------Big number??--------------------MS-Cache Hash-------------???
6a006f.......................61006f00:7x8ab1..........................26a0*::00280000:11/17/2021 14-50-77 (RID=1225)
It is possible oclHashcat-plus read this file or convert it to another format type?
I apologize for my english, google translator.
Best regards

Today I signed up through a computer with XP installed, I removed the hash. I checked the hash (mscash) this site "http://www.insidepro.com/hashes.php?lang=eng" and everything is right.
In the second step, i use oclhashcuda64 with an attack by a dictionary, the program detected the password and gave no error.
Username has 14 characters.
I apologize for my english, google translator.
Best regards
