Random or not
#1
This is more or less a note-to-self, but feel free to comment.

While I was generating a new password for a new account I caught myself in being somehow selective!

That means that there's something that makes me feel better about some password than other, even when they are all random passwords.

So, while I was clicking through the suggestions from my password generator the following happend:

Quote:40oOCJZu
7aqwiYyi
9tT6RaOA
Ed84LCJ6
H0RKQX7u
HZkyhnP9
pmNFwqoy
ww2H09cd
yBEI26yn

But, only those were the ones I liked:

Quote:HZkyhnP9
Ed84LCJ6
9tT6RaOA

I think this has somehow to do an equal amount of all character-classes

yeah i'm the same way. for some reason i tend to prefer random passwords that contain a 'z' or 'x', and i'll keep clicking until i find one. you seem to prefer the number 9, or its upside-down variant.

Doesn't exactly look like 9 or 6 for atom but rather like 'not the same letter twice'

It's as I said, all character-classes (?l, ?u and ?d) have to be inside with a nearly equal amount.. Like 2 lower, 2 upper, 3 digits, etc. It's like a internal password policy.
