Very very smallest the cracking speed 7870 XT
#1
I have

GPU 1
Ati Radeon HD7870 XT With Boost (Tahiti core 7950/2 ( share on 2) = my 7870)

Program to recover WPA/WPA2 passcape and elcomsoft give me speed about 120000-160000 pass/s

oslHashCatGui give me 49312 pass/s
Seems there in oclHashCat is a special limitation on the graphics card

How to remove this limit and who made it and for what???

2 And anyway very small speed on all card less than other programs (passcape and elcomsoft ) on 5000-10000 pass/s

How to contact the developer on this subject?

First, there is no "special limitation."

Second, those other programs are lying to you. Your GPU has 1536 cores @ 975 Mhz, and WPA2 has ~ 14000000 instructions. Therefore the theoretical maximum performance for your GPU is:

1536 cores * 975000000 Hz / 14000000 instructions =~ 106.9 KH/s

To get 160 KH/s out of your GPU you'd need a clockrate of ~ 1458 Mhz, which your card cannot support.

Third, you've not posted your command line or even specified the attack you are running to obtain this number. Try running "oclHashcat64.exe -b -m 2500," it should be around 100 KH/s. If so, there is something wrong with your attack. Maybe you have a very high rejected rate due to testing mostly candidates that are less than eight characters.

Thanks for the answer, my command line such

oclHashcat64.exe -a 3 -m 2500 --session=all -o "C:\Users\Palladin\Desktop\Hashcat GUI-WORK\ALEX_found.txt" --outfile-format=2 -w 2 --gpu-temp-retain 45 "C:\Users\Palladin\Desktop\CLEAN\ALEX.hccap" ?d?d?d?d?d?d?d?d?d?d

What's the key -b

Where can I find a description of all key commands?

I'll try to start with the key -b
#5
With key -b i have error invalid argument for benchmark mode specified

oclHashcat64.exe -a 3 -b -m 2500 --session=all -o.........................
#6
This is likely your problem:

Quote:-w 2 --gpu-temp-retain 45

Get rid of --gpu-temp-retain and use -w 3.

Your 7870 is also clocked at 725 Mhz instead of 975 Mhz, so that's another problem.

For benchmark mode your command is incorrect. Your command should just be simply "oclHashcat64 -b -m 2500"

"oclHashcat64 --help" or read the wiki page http://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=oclhashcat

But speed on my 5990 ( GPU 6 and GPU 7) Faling down there were 98000 with key -w3 only 95000 ????

what can be done to change the speed, can prescribe parameters for each video card ???

Thanks for the help you are a professional))))I am a beginner...

Ok, so with the proper workload settings you're getting 102.7 KH/s - 103.3 KH/s with your 7870, which aligns perfectly with the theoretical max performance of 106.9 KH/s. Therefore oclHashcat is quite optimized for your card, and you can see there is no limitation here.

There's no such thing has a 5990, that card does not exist. Maybe you meant a 5970 or a 6990. Either way, there's not much difference between 95 KH/s and 98 KH/s. Cracking speed is rarely constant, and 3 KH/s fluctuation is normal. Don't stress over this.

Based on the output you posted, everything here looks completely normal.
