Favorite Rules?

So my cracking has been a little off recently and I think it is because of my rules, so hashcat I would like to ask you which rules do you use / prefer?

It depends on the hash type and which system I am using to crack (and therefore how much speed I can get), but my default rules files are d3ad0ne and generated2. On my fast server, I'll generate a few thousand rules as well. I save down any rules that successfully crack something in the generate-rules phase and compile them into an external file for later use (its my understanding that that's how generated2 was originally created).

check out the new dive.rule. its huge, but its sorted by occurance. if you want it to be smaller, just head -XXX the ruleset.
