Dear epixoip,
can you provide more info how the 1080 is behaving in real cracking scenario, what turbo boost clock speed your card achieved?
Is it stable with turbo boost clocks, or a card get thermal throttle and drops down the the clock speed?
From gaming reviews a 1080 FE card had thermal throttling after some time, while 1070 temps where fine.

ATM I'm thinking to build a new PC(tower one), that I will be using from time to time for password cracking, so not quite sure should I go for a 1080 or 1070 since I will be using it not in a server room with air conditioning.

Atom, can you explain in short, why cards like HD6990 so shitty in (descrypt, DES(Unix), Traditional DES) comparing to this card?

I'd need to rewrite it as VLIW, which makes no sense. OpenCL support for VLIW architecture based GPU's (5xxx and 6xxx) are no longer supported by AMD drivers.
