RX470 - only 14MCU ????
My cynicism ends at the fact that without AMD both Intel and NVidia could do whatever they like and call any price they want. So competition is essential. Intel always made the biggest leap forward when they got under pressure by AMD. The last generations from Sandy Bridge over Ivy Bridge, Haswell, Skylake, Broadwell to Kaby Lake show only little improvements. It's time again for some heat in the game.
Same goes for NVidia.

I personally don't care if AMD is any good for hashcat or not, but if they stir up the market, they're more than welcome.
