GTX 1080 Issue
#1
Hello all,

I running into the "Cannot find an OpenCL ICD loader library" error when trying to run to run hashcat64.exe, but not when I run hashcat32.exe.

I am running:
R381.65 (r381_64-2) / 22.21.13.8165 (3-31-2017) nVidia drivers
Windows 10 64-bit Version 1703 build 15063.138
hashcat 3.5.0

I'm brand new to the application but I read the FAQ and doesn't seem like I'm out of spec as far as drivers are concerned, but is there a log file I can force it to dump when its trying to find whatever library it its looking for?

Thanks,

Sounds like you have the 32 bit Nvidia driver installed instead of the 64 bit driver.
#3
I would have never thought that nvidia would have auto updated my drivers to 32 bit, but that's the only thing I can guess happened as after I uninstalled and installed the 64 bit driver, it works.

Thanks for the assist, epixoip. Marked: Resolved.

You MUST reinstall (NO clean install option, first uninstall then install) the nvidia driver.

if u are on windows use this http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/disp...nload.html
remove ur driver, (with the reboot option). then download the latest 64bit driver that test it again.

its for The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali) linux, im getting the consensus that the symlink disappeared during an update so reinstalling the drivers is probably the solution, ive just been not wanting to do it yet lol
