Cracking performance lower than expected?

* Update your OpenCL runtime / driver the right way:
  https://hashcat.net/faq/wrongdriver

* Create more work items to make use of your parallelization power:

Whats weird is when i restarted I had to switch to my onboard display in bios as the two GTX's kept going black right after the ubuntu purple screen. But thats ok because it some how fixed the flickering i was getting when using the onboard graphics card for my display.

But im still getting slower results than i would have thought.. Temps seem to be running slightly cooler on both GTXs though..

Then raise the power limit with `nvidia-smi -pl <limit>`

epixoip, sorry to resurrect an old thread but do you recall under what driver version you had success with the GPU honoring the manually set power limit?

In my recent testing I set a 1080's PL at 200W, ran a hashcat session to put it under load and monitored dmon for power usage.

Code:
Enforced Power Limit        : 200.00 W

However, it appears that throttling still activates when the card hits the default 180W mark:

Code:
SW Power Cap                : Active
