So I literally just received a 6990 in the mail yesterday; it's actually still NIB. I don't have a pressing need to have it production asap- so I'm curious. Does anyone have any idea where they expect / project the 79xx series to come in? As I plan to live with this card for quite some time does it make sense to hold on for another month to wait for the latest hardware?

Thanks for the advice radix. I think I'll go ahead and return it and pick up a a mid range performer to tide me over.

Really, there is no need for that. forumhero was asking a genuine question and has not been offensive to you at all.
Come on. happy new year to everyone !
