Tyan B7015F77V4R.vs FT77AB7059
#1
Hello,

I am contemplating about an 8way Tyan :-)

I heard that the Tyan B7015F77V4R is soon going to be replaced with the TYAN FT77AB7059.

1.
Should I wait the avaibility of the new TYAN FT77AB7059?

Thank's for any feedback!

John

PS
I did not yet decide whether to use the Radeon HD 7990 or older GPUs
and if it will be forever a standalone machine or become one day a member of a VLC/IB cluster...

i don't know about soon, buy yes, the B7015F77V4R will eventually be replaced by the FT77AB7059.

up to you if you want to wait. it really depends on if you feel that you need sandy bridge cpus, quad channel ram, sata 6gbps, and 10gbit ethernet. if you don't need all those things, then go with the much-cheaper B7015F77V4R

Thank's epixoip for the help. If the new GPU's do not require any of the features of the upcoming FT77AB7059, it wouldn't make much sense to spend much more money :-)

But there is an other concern:
Do the new GPU's like the 7990 require special kind of CPU?

Thank's in advance!

no, 7990 does not require any special kind of cpu
