Should I take advantage of the 1080 TI founders edition price drop?

I just checked Ebay, and it seems 1080 ti founders editions have dropped from 500usd to 300-400 now. People on these forums have recommend it still being a good card for its value, is that still the case or did a new card to the 1080 ti FE mantle in that category?

If you're paying 300-400 USD for a videocard no longer covered by warranty I'd say you're insane. Prices will drop drastically since all the GTX series are NO LONGER IN WARRANTY so always factor that into cost. Once RTX 30 Series are released everyone that is interested in upgradingĀ  will be dumping their cards plus the cost for the RTX 3070 is only 500 USD so why not just buy that and have 5 years of warranty.
