I just bought an R9 280x.. Elco Soft WPA auditor = 76K for wpa... hashcat was even worse at 36k with forced driver. Hoping that 14.9 brings it back up to speed. Did they break OCL?

Yes, 14.12 is broken.

With oclHashcat you should be able to get ~ 130 KH/s out of an R9 280X with the proper driver.

Mask attack is indeed generating that. It was the driver. Boo, amd, boo!
