CMD & Hashcat
#1
So when I open CMD normally without running as administrator I'm able to find the specified path but it says the app can't run on my pc. I read that running CMD as administrator would most likely fix the problem. The issue is when I run CMD as administrator I get "the system cannot find the path specified."

The file is located in a folder on my desktop it was also all working perfectly fine up until thirty minutes ago running CMD without admin privileges

CMD without running as administrator appears as C:\users\USERNAME

CMD running with privileges appears as C:\WINDOWS\system32

Can someone help me fix this?

you need to CD to hashcat directory to start hashcat.exe.
hashcat do not need admin priv.

So cd desktop/hashcat-6.1.1? because that's what I'm doing

Just run an example command file in the hashcat directory. Does it work?

Does your antivirus or other tool block the execution of hashcat?
