zip2john issue for newbie

I am a newbie and need some help. I am trying to hash the password for a zip file I don't have the password to, so I installed John the Ripper using homebrew and apparently I need to use the command zip2john to be able to get it to work, but I get the "command not found" message. I then reinstalled it as the john-jumbo to get the zip2john command available, however still getting the "command not found" message. I am on a Mac.
