Charset files don't behave as expected?

Gentlemen. Can I use my charset file without a mask? I don't know what length the password is and where is the digit lowercase letter and uppercase letter or special character "space" for example hashcat -a 3 -m 6243 --custom-charset1 bart.hcchr dumptcnonsys.hash Password length is from 5 to 8 characters. I can't use "?1?1?1?1?1?1" as a mask because the length can be longer than 5 characters.
