After atom's tweet
http://www.twitter.com/hashcat/status/18...4208770048 about vr-zone.com using oclHashcat-lite for benchmarking an 7970 card (
http://vr-zone.com/articles/msi-r7970-li...15270.html), this request could probably by easier than others to implement:
Put up a new page on the wiki, explain and provide example scripts for running benchmarks of oclHashcat-lite/plus on Windows/Linux 32/64bit for the purpose of benchmarking various graphics cards.
Encourage the benchmarkers to name the OS, version, 32/64 bit and version of nvidia/amd drivers used when benchmarking.
Best regards,
Per Thorsheim

Maybe a job for arex.
He already started with exactly what you were asking for on here:
http://thepasswordproject.com/oclhashcat_benchmarking
More suggestions?

Ah... Sorry Arex, forgot. I've seen your benchmark page before, haven't tested them yet.
More suggestions? Hm. Well, the "pick your own separator" request from me earlier is in the betas now, but I've been a little afraid of revealing that I don't know how to enter the "TAB" character into a windows/linux command prompt.... The option you've added allows a single selectable character to be used, and I feel pretty much *stupid* asking about this....

One thing I wonder, b31 had the highest mark for wpa, do you know in terms of wpa how the newest unreleased beta compares to that version?
It's too bad they didn't test for wpa with oclhashcat-plus in op link. Is there any way to convert for example what the results of md5 or SL3 to wpa? I only ask as so many either don't use oclhashcat-plus or don't benchmark wpa.
Thanks.

I plan on keeping
http://thepasswordproject.com/oclhashcat_benchmarking up to date and make improvements to it. Feel free to link to it, comment on it, etc.
If volunteers want to bench regularly and send me the results, that would be great. Currently only atom ("PC2") and I ("PC1") are doing it. I'd love to add an Nvidia user. Anyone?
I can't bench the latest hashcat betas personally, due to a bug in the latest ATI drivers. I'll have to reinstall older ones, or wait until next month. Contact me here, on thepasswordproject.com or @arex1337 on Twitter.

I was wondering has anyone submitted a 2 x 7970 or more benchmark? I know Atom has tested the single 7970.

2x 7970 is simply twice as fast as a single 7970. No need for an extra benchmark.

Well I guess that's why hashcat is so great, cause that's not always the case like in pyrit. So I don't always assume that even though logical, but yeah I'd say that's the case for hashcat.
