hmm i want to play too but hashcat 0.38 seems to be giving me really odd results.

Eg i'm getting 8.3k hashes using the base list against the base hashes with no rules
getting 2k when the single : rule is used with the same baselist
and getting 5k when the normal base64 rule is used with the baselist

something doesn't seem right, could be just me.

i was going to ask the same thing... there's a weird "translation" also, in testing on my local machine, i get approx 6k found but when i upload rules to the form it says 18K found ???

version 0.38 has a buggy word processing. You need 0.39beta. (i assume this means only beta testers can participate)

I'm not a beta tester and am getting pretty close Tongue It just takes a bit more elbow grease and guesswork. You can use ocl to get a fairly accurate final number, then use .38 a few rules at a time for analysis.
