Hi, Im setting up a homelab and was considering to move my 3080ti to that computer and then create a VM for Ubuntu + Hascat with a GPU passthrough. Does anyone have any experience with hashcat running on virtualied enviroments?
Thanks.

Virtual environments are not the simplest to setup. Why does it need to be in a VM?

It's *possible*. I successfully ran a bunch of 2080s in an Ubuntu VM on ESXi. The problem is: when you run into trouble, it won't be "hashcat" trouble, it'll be "passing GPU resources to a VM on your chosen platform" trouble.
It can work, as long as you're capable of providing your own support.
