eGPU Razer Core X, MacbookPro, AMD Radeon RX580

Hey,

I tried to use an AMD Radeon RX580 with Razer Core X as an eGPU on my MacBook with hashcat and it doesn't work.

My OS Version is Monterey 12.5.1

I tried to use the homebrew hashcat version and I compiled a fresh hashcat with:

There are 2 Problems:

Is there a way to solve these issues?
I read that OpenCL can not be upgraded on Mac, so I think I'm stuck with the 1.2 version  Is there a way to make it work with 1.2 in hashcat? Maybe an older version?

If you can upgrade your system to macOS Ventura (13.1), then hashcat will work with Apple Metal. If not, I recommend you use an older version of hashcat available at the bottom of hashcat.net. Personnally, I like v3.6.0 and it works great on macOS with OpenCL 1.2.

If you need to crack the latest and greatest hashes and you don't need macOS, then I recommend installing Linux on your system. I currently run Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS on my 2014 Macbook Air and it works great with the latest version of hashcat.
