Shocked
HI is it possible to use Hashtopolis to connect 4 x14 4090s servers? Via vast.ai
im not sure of the details if it would support all the power on a single target job running a 12-long charset mask (a?.....)

if anyone has done this or has real input please assist!

here is the git for reference

Good news: Yes, you can cluster multiple machines with hashtopolis like that. It has been done many times and with far more machines/GPUs than that.

Bad news: it won't matter at all if you are trying to run ?a x12 as that keyspace is still FAR too big to ever complete. If you ran the fastest normal mode (NTLM) which would net you 16TH/s across 4x 14 4090 machines, it would take 1071 YEARS to complete that attack. It's not feasible and hashcat/hashtopolis shouldn't even let you start that kind of attack.

Sir many thanks for the input. you seem like you have been around the block.
Ive been working with 3 hash sample on a wallet recovery .dat file. One is running a x4 high rate than others with wordiest and mask.. is the because its old wallet? ? like 2009 era wallet?
do you think with Nvidia's new chipset 5xxx coming it would be possible? I hear they drop some time next year

Wallets have different numbers of rounds and thus run at different speeds.

No realistic amount of GPUs will ever make x12 ?a possible, at all. You would need on the order of 60,000 4090s to bring that attack down to "just" 1 year AGAINST NTLM. Against a wallet, you could throw all of the GPUs on earth at it, for the rest of your life, and not even make a _tiny dent_ in that keyspace. It is effectively impossible.
