pcap/pcapng file conversion
#1
First off allow me to apologize for me being a noob and probably asking a dumb question. If anyone helps it would be greatly appreciated but understood either way!
I've simply been using the online cap2hccapx from Hashcat whenever I have pcap files I am trying to retrieve information from. However, I was still in the learning phase then (studying for ComptiaA+) and I definitely have oh so very much to learn. Anyways, any time I attempt to do that anymore, it always gives me the 404 because apparently file size is limited to 20mb. However 95% of my files are. So I spent hours searching online for different converters and the like, with little to no success. Laughed at many times and so forth. I get it, but I've attempted to compress the files, even split them up but obviously that didn't work. This laptop is running Windows which is why the online converter has always been perfect. However I've had my second, better laptop running The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali)/Linux with an LAN connection for a few weeks now. I'm learning it quickly, but it still has over 600 different applications on it. So I'm going to keep doing my research and seeing where it takes me unless someone out there can at least point me in the right direction? I'm learning Linux users appreciate when someone puts the time in before asking a question. Respect.
This is the first question I've posted online in well over a decade. That's how desperate I feel. I also feel like I've been trying to figure it out for so long the answer is right in front of me but I can't see it.
A bit of info: during Pen-Testing, I'll have my FlipperZero running ESP32 WiFi Marauder and scanning individual access points using a sniffpmkid option I've always used with no problems. However, to get all the EAPOL files necessary, sometimes I have to let it run all night. I've tried saving just the EAPOL files by themselves and loading it, but it was still too large.
Sorry for the dumb question, sorry for making it so long so to anyone who read all the way to the end, thank you very much simply for your time. I regrettably admit my noob status and am at the mercy of the real tech geniuses out there. Thank you all!
