so back in 2013 i bought some btc, transfered some to core .dat wallet and some to an armory wallet. i found these wallets again though i forgot the password. i have a 4090 gpu, ran a test attack with core wallet and it has like 50kh/s and i have some clues about the password, i am hopeful of it. though for armory wallet, i cant find anything about it on hashcat. i am sure i set different password for both wallets.
after some research i found https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover that has armory support. although its necessary to set up armory wallet first, which is totally painful nowadays since its outdated and its too difficult to download necessary packages. anyways i did that somehow on an old ubuntu although now it doesnt work with the gpu because the distro i set up armory is old and it doesnt support 4090. and with cpu its quite slow.
i dont know if there are any other solutions for armory, or if anyone made an armory mode for hashcat before. maybe i'll do a hashcat mode if anyone here can give some support.
