Workaround for catalyst 12.8??

Few months ago I bought a notebook with switchable graphics (HD4000 + HD7970m. I can't update my catalyst 12.6 to 12.8. Is there a workaround so I can still use the older hashcat versions like 0.8 or 0.9. I get the message that they are outdated. At this moment I can only use my cpu :-(

Thank you very much ... putting back system clock works for now. Hope AMD finds an upgrade solution for the HD7970m in the future.
