So I am having the same error. I have The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali) Version 1.0.9 and Nvidia driver version 337.19 for Linux. I followed the information in the posts from October 8 and "no dice" however version 1.21 works fine. And the nvidia driver version is above the current recommended one but not the latest.
Any suggessions?

Can you please try to download 1.31 from the webpage and try again?

Install latest WHQL forceware from nvidia.com and it should work.

So which one of the following should I try?
Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver NVIDIA Certified 331.1040 October 8, 2014
Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver NVIDIA Certified 340.46 September 30, 2014
Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver NVIDIA Certified 343.22 September 18, 2014
Also do I need to have Cuda SDK installed? Can I uninstall it before hand?
Which version of the CUDA SDK is supported?
Thank You for the responses!

1. Go
here.
2. Select your GPU.
3. Download and install the driver it gives you.
4. Report whether the issue was fixed.
