5870 vs 6870
#1
Hello !
http://golubev.com/gpuest.htm and http://www.gat3way.eu/est.php are not working so I must to ask here...

I have 5870 and I use it for brute force wpa/wpa2 with oclhashcat in The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali), now I can get 6870 NEW, for affordable price, and I wonder whether it is worth to do this replacement ?

Can someone tell me how much 6870 can do kH/s in normal mode, not overclocked ?

Or if someone can share some web site where I can see graphic card comparation for bruteforce WPA/WPA2 ?

6870 is 30% slower than the 5870.

I have a local [slightly updated/modified] copy of http://golubev.com/gpuest.htm in a spreadsheet. Can confirm numbers:

5870: 79,036 H/s WPA
6870: 58,579 H/s WPA

5870 is 35% faster than 6870.

I've no idea how to format the entire spreadsheet into a table here though. I can dump what I have if anyone's interested. E.g. here's the "ATI Radeon HD 5XXX/68XX series (VLIW5 + BIT_ALIGN + BFI_INT)" section
