Illegal instruction

No matter what command I use except --help I always get the result:
Hashcat (v3.20) stating...

Illegal instruction



What gives?

Need more details. Specifically, the CPU you're using. OS, the architecture you're running, etc. are also extremely helpful.

I'm not aware of hashcat32.bin containing any opcodes that your CPU doesn't support (I think we only need SSE2 support), but I strongly suspect your 10-year old CPU is the problem here nonetheless. You could try compiling from source to see if helps; however, I sincerely doubt AMD's OpenCL runtime even supports this CPU, and even if it did, it would be absurdly slow.

ok i have the same thing

i have linux The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali) 64 bit

with two gpu point of view nvidia gtx 580
--help works all others don't
