I'd love to go to the defcon and try out the pw contest... but how would I start my computer remotely? I've tried RDP, teamviewer, and VNC... and it crashes. Same with other programs like ihash. It doesn't like that I'm not really looking at a real monitor when I start it.

you do not need to use the gui. the gui is just an overlay to the real hashcat program, which is a console application: hashcat-cli.exe

Sorry, I am specifically referring to OCL for video cards. Hashcat-cli works just fine, even from the gui remotely. It's the radeon/nvidia hashcat that won't start.
