Freezes and lags on 0.07 version
#1
Hey guys, Happy New Year!

First of all, sorry for my english, its my second language and he is not good Smile

Tomorow im brute some WPA files on oclhashcat-plus 0.06 and it was wonderful (all others time im use pyrit) - zero freezes and lags.

But today im again brute some WPA files on oclhashcat-plus 0.07 (!) and this is terrible. A lot of lags and freezes.

key -n not helped.

for advice:
./oclHashcat-plus64.bin -m 2500 -n 1 /home/machine/Downloads/dlink.hccap /home/machine/Desktop/WPA_wordlists/digit0-9.txt

Okey lets try some -n 80:

./oclHashcat-plus64.bin -m 2500 -n 80 /home/machine/Downloads/dlink.hccap /home/machine/Desktop/WPA_wordlists/digit0-9.txt

^ A lot freezes and lags

But on version 0.06 all was nice, and i havent any lags or freezes on this speed (80000+).

Very bad what i cant use old 0.06 version, any advice then?

turn your system clock back.

try: -n 16 --gpu-loops 128

this is old 0.6 setting

I am seeing the same problem. Last night it worked fine with .06 but after upgrading this morning my cursor lags like crazy.

./oclHashcat-plus/oclHashcat-plus32.bin -m 2500 ./hccap/test.hccap ./pass/wpa.txt

Thats what I'm running. I tried going back to .06 and says its out dated and I can't use it now.

Thanks

Thx for answer Atom, but still not good.
zero changes. But interesting - lags reproduce on any speed. 30k+ > lags, 80k+ > lags.

Any tips else?

What sort of GPU are you using, out of curiosity? What model, what kind of system is it in?
#7
I'm running a HD 5770. Core i7 860 4gb ram. Worked perfectly before. I plan on getting a much better card sometime soon just for oclHash.
#8
So it's a PCIe card, not built-in? Hmm.
#9
I think I found the problem. I just noticed this under the download: AMD users require Catalyst 11.12
I downloaded and swear I installed it but CCC still says its at 11.11

I'll update and report back.

#10
yes please install cat 11.12
