Fast to know truecrypt container hash alg

Hello. Is i right understood, it`s not possible to fast know TC hash alg from extracted 512 bytes? 
I mean some tool which  i may launch and it show me concrete alg of TC container. 
In google/faqs/forums i just found like "Popular RIPEMD160+AES, try it first.".

No, it's not. Only check you can do is entropy check but this tells you only that data is either compressed or encrypted. Another thing is that entire file has to be 512 byte multiple. If system is bootable it's obvious.
