ATTENTION! OpenCL kernel self-test failed.

I am having trouble cracking WPA passwords and I guess it comes down to my driver.  I just don't know what to do or if it can even be fixed.

I am running two AMD R9-290X on Windows 10, I have the latest version of AMDs driver version "Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.8.1".  I have tried Hashcat 5.1, 5.0, & 4.2.1.

I am cracking other hashes fine, but when I try to crack a WPA 2500 hash I get the error: ATTENTION! OpenCL kernel self-test failed.  The process stops after the error.  I can tag on the --self-test-disable and of course it goes through the cracking process, but no passwords are ever recovered.  I tested the process with a known password, but still no results.

I realize that I don't need to use the --self-test-disable, but I am not sure how to resolve my issue.

I have uninstalled my driver and Intel OpenCL, rebooted, and manually deleted the OpenCL files from SYSWOW and System32.

Can anyone help with a solution?

Would it be a bad idea to revert back to an old driver like 15.12 Crimson?

There's a problem with the 5.1.0 version and AMD cards. This problem is fixed in the beta version.

For HD 7970 last working beta:
hashcat-5.1.0 + 910
later versions give errors.
