ATTENTION! OpenCL kernel self-test failed on Mac
#1
Receiving the following error while doing benchmark.

Quote:ATTENTION! OpenCL kernel self-test failed.

Your device driver installation is probably broken.
See also: https://hashcat.net/faq/wrongdriver

The following is machine specification and hashcat version

Quote:hashcat (v5.1.0) starting in benchmark mode...

OpenCL Platform #1: Apple
=========================
* Device #1: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9880H CPU @ 2.30GHz, skipped.
* Device #2: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630, 384/1536 MB allocatable, 24MCU
* Device #3: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M Compute Engine, 1020/4080 MB allocatable, 24MCU

By default the driver should be properly installed for Mac. Is it because of the hashcat version i'm using not supporting yet?

1. the hash type (-m) is important when you report any errors (self-test errors are often "only" affecting specific hash types, because of a driver/runtime/compiler bug, not hashcat problem most of the time)
2. why do you use hashcat 5.1.0 if the homepage https://hashcat.net/hashcat/ says that hashcat 6.0.0 is the latest version ? first update to 6.0.0 and try again

Try the brew edition of hashcat. There is no problems.
