Post: RE: Feature request: checkpoint, falling speed

Perhaps I wasn't clear with what I said? I understood your post fine, your speed appears to be decreasing over time. When you restart, the speed appears to be "increased" back to being fast but then f...

Post: RE: Feature request: checkpoint, falling speed

This is likely a visual issue and not a "real" speed increase. What it sounds like you are doing is running multiple different wallets, some are likely slower than others as the difficulty is configur...

Post: RE: 1080ti

It might be important to note that while you CAN buy many 1080Ti's for the price of a 4090, you can't actually run that many 1080Ti's without spending extra money on supporting hardware that isn't nee...

You're using the collider mode which is limited to 5 bytes to attack the short RC4 key. Use 9700 for regular cracking, not 9710.

Unfortunately, Snoopy is likely correct about the performance impacts. A significant portion of the speed of hashcat in mask/bruteforce mode comes from being able to generate and distribute work extre...

No need to share, I'm pretty sure the problem is the 2147422012. This value is incredibly high, either it's an error or a new value that the modules/kernels aren't ready to support. Changing it to be ...

Use the GPU and leave the CPU for the host side processing. Using both usually leads to a lower net hash rate because the GPU relies on the CPU to feed it work. Unfortunately, there's not much perform...

This speed difference is specific to a handful of modes/optimized kernels. You've unfortunately picked 2 of the few where it's impactful. What's going on from a technical standpoint is that if there i...

This is likely a combination of factors that may not be so obvious. When hashcat starts up there is a list of optimizers that show what can be applied in the current attack. As you change things about...
