Hashcat on Win 11 not working

Hi,

wanted to give it a try on Win11. Downloaded the binaries and extracted them to a folder. When running an hashcat command like "hashcat -b" a MS Window pops up asking for an App to open BIN files with.

Chose the hashcat.exe, but that does not work.

Any idea what goes wrong?

Press win+r type cmd then hashcat in folder hashcat

you tried opening the linux binary hashcat.bin instead of the windows binary hashcat.exe

maybe you should first learn some computerbasics before playing around with hashcat ( not to be meant offensive  )
