Generic hash types?

Hello, this is the type of hash I am looking for: md5(sha1(md5($pass)))

but I couldn't find it here https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=example_hashes

Is there a way to break this? It's surprising that there is Hash-Mode for much more complex passwords

You're correct, it's not currently supported in Hashcat although other tools such as MDXFind do support it, as "MD5SHA1MD5". If you want to request it as a hash-mode, you can do it on the GitHub issues page. It should be a fairly simple mode to add
