clEnqueueNDRangeKernel(): CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE error
#1
I keep hitting an issue when loading SHA-1 hash files that are over 200+MB in size. I have tested on a diff laptop with a lower end GPU 'Quadro m2000m and do not see the issue happening. The affected host has 8GB of system ram running the latest Ubuntu LTS release, where as the working host has 48GB on Windows 10. Not sure if this is affecting it or not.

Hashcat Verion: 4.1.0

Command being run: ./hashcat64.bin -m 100 -D 2 --remove HASHFILE -o OUTPUTFILE WORDLISTFILE

Below is the output of hashcat -I & clinfo.

./hashcat64.bin -I

Looks like you have the ICD loader but there is no driver installed for your GPU. Did you install from the package manager or from Nvidia’s site?

Also, are you running Ubuntu in a virtual machine or am I misunderstanding you?

Using the default nvidia driver included with Ubuntu. Its running on the actual laptop, not a virtual machine.
I am able to run hashcat fine, just not with files over 200MB on the Ubuntu system.

Also the output of hashcat -I above shows that I am using the nvidia driver and what version is being used.
Is that the part you mean, or under the clinfo should there be something else showing in the ICD section.

Thx

Found this: https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=fre...error_mean

But its for ATI. Tried doing: apt-get install --reinstall ocl-icd-libopencl1 and rebooted. Still having the same issue.

Updated clinfo below.

I was getting this error on Windows. It worked when I tried adding these arguments "-n 1 -u 1024 --force" from this thread:
