hashcat -b is not seeing my grahpic card

i tried all the guides hashcat provides,  i tried everything i have no idea why its not working
i have evga 1080Ti  graphic card
whe i run nvidia-smi i recieve the following :
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

FWIW, under Ubuntu 18.04 I'm also able to run hashcat well using the native packages. I have these installed:

well to be honest i dont have enough knowledge on ubuntu and your instructions are very tough for me
any way to make it simplier? how to install those ?

sudo apt install nvidia-driver-440

This installs version 440, You may choose another

This should install all deps.

Tested with Ubuntu 18.04 running Hashcat like a dream
