hashcat.hctune: No such file or directory
#1
I receive the following error when I run hashcat:

./hashcat.hctune: No such file or directory

Running windows 10 64bit.  I've tried pulling from a "hash.txt" file I generated,  a .plist file, and entering the hash directly into cmd along with the other prompts.

I found some info on the same issue on older versions which suggested starting with a cd/ prompt, but that had no effect.

Thanks!

make sure you extract the hashcat release version from https://hashcat.net/hashcat/ correctly with a tool like 7-Zip

the file is definitely there when you open that archive (and if you extract the downloaded version correctly it must be in your extracted hashcat folder).
